Sausage Rolls by savisquishles (Collaboration)

Total time - 45 mins

  • 500g mince of choice (I used pork)

  • 250g sausage meat (remove casing from sausages)

  • 50g onion chopped

  • 1 tbsp garlic paste

  • 1 tbsp ginger paste

  • 1 tbsp curry leaves finely chopped

  • 1 cup coconut milk

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1 tbsp Araliya unroasted curry powder

  • 1/2 tsp chilie powder

  • 1 egg

Roast and grind together:

  • 1 tsp cardamom

  • 1 inch piece cinnamon

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp cumin seed

Frozen or home made puff pastry sheets


Mix everything together in a big bowl and make sure the mixture is not too dry or too wet. If too dry, add some more coconut milk. If too dry, add breadcrumbs.

Place a line of mince along a strip of puff pastry, along the side facing you. Brush some egg wash onto the pastry on the side away from you. Roll the pastry sheet away from you to encase the mince in the pastry.

Chill the strip of filled pastry in the fridge for 1 hour before cutting into smaller rectangles
